This design features the hand-lettered script phrase "Salt of the Earth" at the center, topped by an illustrated vintage salt shaker with salt scattering down, and surrounded by botanical leaves, a small flower, wheat stalks, and a tiny illustrated globe nestled into rolling hills beneath the text. "Matthew 5:13" is printed cleanly at the base. The warm, earthy palette — sage green, mustard gold, terracotta, and cream — gives the design a grounded, natural feel.
The salt shaker anchors the design's central metaphor visually. Salt was historically essential and precious — used to preserve food and bring out flavor, often considered valuable enough to be used as currency. By illustrating it pouring out, the design suggests an ongoing, active calling rather than a static identity — salt that is being used, not simply stored.
The small globe nestled beneath the lettering grounds the phrase in its full context — salt of the earth, not salt of a small corner. It's a subtle reminder that this calling, however ordinary it feels day to day, is part of something larger.
